He said, “As a cricketer, there’s nothing more motivating than knowing that millions of fans are standing behind you, cheering for your success. This campaign reflects the deep passion and obsession of our fans to see Team India win. It’s a journey we’re embarking on together with the entire nation, and we’re determined to make our fans proud with our performances on the field.”

Team India will be on their final stop for preparations as they look to finalise their choices for the World Cup squad for which the deadline has been assigned on September 28.

Their final chance to get some match-practice will be up against the Australian side where they will compete in a three-match ODI series as a prelude to their match-up in the World Cup.

Even the Australians will have some final tweaks to sort out with the likes of Travis Head set to miss out on the first half of the World Cup due to a fracture in his left hand, which he suffered during their ODI series against South Africa.

Ravindra Jadeja will be amongst the most important players in the side with his all-round ability to contribute in any aspect of the game. A gun fielder, a smart bowler and a decent batter. Jadeja will look be in his A-Game as he will look to contribute similarly to his 2011 counterpart Yuvraj Singh who managed to win the Player of the Series award for his all-round contributions in India’s World Cup winning campaign.

Team India will look to come to a decision on their squads after the ODI series against Australia with injury concerns for the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel. The side will have to take a call on whether to continue with the two after Iyer missed a good portion of the Asia Cup 2023 due to a back spasm while Axar missed the finals due to a left quadriceps strain. With the two players coming back to fitness, India might have to take a call on whether to continue with the two or choose an appropriate replacement.
