Devi Sri Prasad joins Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam for the screening of Ponniyin Selvan 2
Ponniyin Selvan 2 grossed 200 crore worldwide. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan and Shobita Dhulipala.
Kamal Haasan, a renowned star who provided the narration for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2, attended the screening of the film recently. It was singer Devi Sri Prasad who shared two photos on his social media account with Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam and himself. The first image shows the three of them posing together, while the second is a selfie taken by DSP with the Vikram actor while they watched the film.
In her tweet, Devi Sri Prasad expressed her joy at having the opportunity to see the film alongside legendary characters, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. He praised AR Rahman’s outstanding musical score and Ravi Varman’s splendid cinematography. Additionally, he expressed his admiration for the efforts of all the actors and technicians who contributed to the film. He wrote, “What a pleasure it was to watch legend Mani Ratnam sir’s PS2 masterpiece sitting with legend sir Kamal Haasan.”
The Sunday screening of Ponniyin Selvan 2 brought together many cast and crew members. Prominent personalities such as Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Madhoo, Bobby Deol, Shriya Saran, Kartik Aaryan and Prosenjit Chatterjee were also pictured at the venue.
Lyca Productions also shared photos of Kamal Haasan and DSP during the screening. The caption read, “From giving his voice to intro to the #PS world, to watching the movie with #ManiRatnam sir and Devi Sri Prasad, our Ulaganayagan has come full circle in the #PS universe! In a previous interview with ANI, Kamal Haasan discussed his connection with Mani Ratnam and praised his film. He expressed his delight at the outstanding ability and technical mastery of Tamil cinema, which is now evident globally through this film.
Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 premiered in theaters on April 28 and is the follow-up to his hit film released in 2022. Kamal Haasan provided the film’s narration, while AR Rahman composed the music. The film features a stellar cast which includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj, among others.
