In case the mobile number is already verified, residents will see a message like

In the event that the mobile number is already verified, residents will see a message such as “the mobile number you entered is already verified with our records”, displayed on their screen.

The facility can be used under the “Verify Email/Mobile Number” feature on the official website (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/) or through the mAadhaar app.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has enabled residents to verify their cell phone numbers and email ids seeded with their Aadhaar. It is important to note that you can only verify the email id or mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. If you have not linked your email id or mobile number to Aadhaar, you must do so first before trying to verify them.

“UIDAI learned that in some cases residents did not know/sure which mobile phone number was associated with their Aadhaar. Therefore, residents feared that Aadhaar OTP would use another mobile number. Now, with this facility, residents can check them quite easily,” the Ministry of Electronics and Computing said in a GDP statement.

How to verify email id and mobile on Aadhaar?

The facility can be used under the “Verify Email/Mobile Number” feature on the official website (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/) or through the mAadhaar app. It was developed for residents to verify that their own email/mobile number is associated with the respective Aadhaar.

This feature confirms to residents that the email/mobile number they are aware of is only associated with the respective Aadhaar. It also notifies the resident in the event that a particular mobile number is unlinked, and informs residents to take the necessary steps to update the mobile number, if desired.

In the event that the mobile number is already verified, residents will see a message such as “the mobile number you entered is already verified with our records”, displayed on their screen.

If a resident does not remember the mobile number they provided during registration, they can check the last three digits of the mobile phone on the Check Aadhaar feature on the Myaadhaar portal or the mAadhaar app.
