Mahadev Gaming-betting app Promoter Saurabh Chandrakar Spends Rs 200 Crore On His Wedding

Saurabh Chandrakar, promoter of the Mahadev Online Book gaming-betting app, is currently making headlines for spending Rs 200 crore on his marriage in Dubai. According to reports, the guests arrived at the wedding on private jets. Not only this, Chandrakar even hired Bollywood stars to dance and sing at the wedding.

Saurabh Chandrakar got married in February but now his wedding is making headlines due to the huge expenses. According to reports, Chandrakar is accused of spending Rs 200 crore on his wedding in Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai. After this, the Enforcement Directorate started investigating this matter. In a recent media interaction, ED claimed that Chandrakar leased a private aircraft to fly his family and friends from Nagpur to Dubai for the wedding.

An amount of Rs 42 crore was spent on private jet and hotel accommodation arrangements. Surprisingly, the entire payment was made in cash, as per reports. Apart from this, Saurabh Chandrakar paid Rs 142 crore to an event management company. Not only this, he even invited Bollywood artists to perform at the wedding. According to an India Today report, musicians Vishal Dadlani, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Kriti Kharbanda, Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Atif Aslam also attended this wedding event.

According to a Money Control report, the Enforcement Directorate raided the founders of the Mahadev Gambling App’s offices in numerous cities, including Kolkata, Bhopal, and Mumbai, and seized assets worth Rs 417 crore from them. Reports suggest that the company, which was running operations from Dubai, allegedly used the online book betting application to enrol new users, create user IDs and launder money through a layered web of Benami bank accounts.

The company promoters hail from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh and the Mahadev gaming-betting app is an umbrella syndicate arranging online platforms for enabling illegal betting websites.
