Virat Kohli thinks Viv Richards would have ‘led’ the IPL if he had played T20 cricket in the modern era
Virat Kohli’s admiration for legendary drummer Sir Viv Richards is an open secret. When asked to share his opinion on the greatest debate of all time, Kohli replied that Sir Viv, along with Sachin Tendulkar, had revolutionized batting in their generations. The talismanic Indian hitter once again praised Richards via Instagram Stories.
Kohli shared a video in which the former Caribbean batter could be heard talking about the style of play in T20 cricket. “I would have loved that [playing in franchise-based T20 competitions]. I think so [bat] would have been too powerful with bats today,” Richards said while sharing his take on T20 cricket. “The real boss,” Kohli said while sharing the clip. A screenshot of Kohli’s Instagram Stories is now doing the rounds.

Another person said Richards would have done brilliantly in T20 cricket.
He should have played in this era of T20. It was Gayle Pollard ABD all combined into one.

Some have praised Virat Kohli.
Viv Richards, an aggressive batting pioneer in the 1970s and 80s, capped off his glittering international career with 36 centuries under his belt. On tests, Richards posts a stellar GPA of 50.23. He retired from ODIs with a staggering strike rate of just over 90, a feat that was certainly quite unimaginable during his playing days.
