In his plea, Jahan reiterated his allegations that Shami asked him for a dowry and accused Shami of continuing to have extramarital affairs.
In an application for special leave filed with the Supreme Court, Mohammed Shami’s ex-wife, Hasin Jahan, alleged that a criminal case against the Indian cricketer had been “wrongfully stayed for 4 years, without just circumstances”.
Jahan accused Shami of continuing to have extramarital affairs with prostitutes, even while touring with the senior national cricket team. These allegations of domestic violence and adultery were first raised by Jahan in 2018 when she filed a complaint with the police in Jadavpur.

Although Shami has denied all the allegations, Jahan is constantly pursuing the case against him. In 2018, Shami and his older brother Hasib Ahmed were questioned by the Kolkata Police Women’s Grievance Cell, and an arrest warrant was issued for the cricketer by the Alipore court. However, the mandate was later suspended. Moreover, even after Jahan accused Shami of being involved in match fixing, the Indian Cricket Council Anti-Corruption Unit (BCCI) gave him a good word.
Hasin Jahan’s recent plea to the Supreme Court alleges that the Kolkata Sessions Court stayed the action against Shami, even though the cricketer “did not even pay the stay of the criminal trial, and his only grievance was only against the issuance of arrest warrants”.

According to the petition, “Mr. Shami was using his second mobile phone, an HTC device with the number +447864905556, to handle all his prostitute-related business, and said phone was seized by police in Lal Bazaar, Kolkata, in connection with the current crime. However, according to the petition’s allegations, Mr. Shami continues to be involved in sexual activities with prostitutes. »

Shami had previously said he would apologize to Jahan if his allegations were found to be true in court. Earlier this year, Shami was ordered to pay monthly child support of Rs 50,000 to Jahan by a Kolkata court. However, Jahan was unhappy with the child support amount and demanded Rs 10 lakh per month in 2018, which included Rs 7 lakh for personal expenses and Rs 3 lakh for upkeep of their daughter.
