Delhi Capitals have made some changes against unchanged Gujarat Titans as they seek a third win of IPL 2023

Delhi Capitals captain David Warner won the coin toss and decided to beat Gujarat Titans first in an IPL 2023 match at Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday.

Mitchell Marsh, who put on a superb all-around show for DC against Sunrisers Hyderabad last week, is ruled out of the clash due to illness and has been replaced by Rilee Rossouw. Left arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed is in fine form and also returns to the XI.

The GTs, on the other hand, are unchanged.

This is the second time these two franchises have met in the current season. They met last month at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi where GT picked up a comfortable six-wicket win.

“Nice wicket, looks a bit dry. You want to put leads on the board. We have to be positive, we have young talent and hopefully they can all show that tonight,” Warner said explaining his decision to strike first.

While GT have continued their impressive run which has seen them top the points table with six wins from eight matches, DC have endured a forgettable campaign so far having only managed two wins from eight attempts.

“We also planned to go bowling, we thought chasing would be an ideal thing here. We talked earlier about the kind of intention we keep and bowling, we’ve been fantastic and we want to stay calm and humble no matter the situation,” Pandya said.

DC’s season started with five straight losses, but they seemed to be getting into a rhythm with consecutive wins. However, this was short-lived as they managed to lose to fellow Sunrisers Hyderabad wrestlers despite being in a dominant position at one point.
