Katrina Kaif Joins Neetu Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor to Celebrate Alia Bhatt’s MET Gala Debut

Alia Bhatt has finally made her Met Gala debut and several Bollywood stars including Neetu Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor among others are proud. The Bollywood diva turned to designer Prabal Gurung to walk the red carpet at fashion’s biggest night to honor Karl Lagerfeld this year. The new mother-of-one wrapped up on the theme in a white princess dress that made her look like a classic bride. Shaheen Bhatt, who is extremely thrilled to see her sister add another feat to her stellar career, has shared a series of stunning photos of Alia Bhatt slaying on the red carpet.

Donning the chunky piece, the Brahmastra fame can be seen smiling confidently as she strikes several poses for the photographers. Katrina took to the comments section and wrote, “So pretty ❤️.” Meanwhile, Alia’s mother-in-law Neetu shared Alia’s post from the gala and wrote, “Stunning.” Kareena Kapoor was also in love with the look.

“The best girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️” Kareena wrote, before adding, “Too beautiful ❤️⭐️⭐️.” Alia’s sister, Shaheen Bhatt, greeted her as an “angel” while making a specific reference to her elegant princess cut.

With every inch of the bodice covered in beads, Alia’s all-white dress featured a dramatic sheer train. She chose a fingerless glove to accentuate her pearlescent outfit with a scooped neckline and a voluminous skirt. With her sleek ensemble talking all the time, Alia has gone minimal when it comes to her makeup. Leaving her hair cut back in cascading beachy waves, smoky eyes and bare lips raise her fashion game. Finally, a pair of statement earrings dipped in pearls and spikes completes her look.

While explaining her Met Gala look, Alia Bhatt said, “I have always been fascinated by Chanel’s iconic brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld has shown itself in the most innovative and impressive couture. My look tonight was inspired by this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look. I wanted to make something authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with 100,000 beads is a labor of love by Prabal Gurung. I’m so proud to wear you to my first Met. A girl can never have too many pearls…and the right accessories to complete the look which, in our case, resulted in the pearl bow on my hair.

Last year, Alia Bhatt starred in a string of blockbuster films including Gangubai Kathiawadi for which she recently won a Filmfare award in the Best Actress category. Brahmastra and Darlings were among a few of her captivating releases in 2022. If her acting career wasn’t enough, the new mother-of-one has also made massive waves on the fashion scene by launching her clothing brand Maternity and Children’s, Ed-a-Mamma . Now Alia Bhatt is also gearing up to make her Hollywood debut alongside Gal Gadot in the Netflix spy movie Heart of Stone. On top of that, she has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani up her sleeves against Ranveer Singh, helmed by Karan Johar.
