Veteran Bollywood actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra have completed 43 years of their marriage. The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary on May 2. To mark the special occasion, “dream girl” Hema Malini took to her Twitter account to share some encouraging photos and thanked everyone for their beautiful wishes.
She posted a beautiful series of photos on her Twitter account, where we can see the couple posing happily. One of the photos is from their debut. In the caption, she expressed her love for Dharmendra and thanked him for being her life partner. She wrote: “I personally thank everyone who wished us our wedding anniversary today. It has been a wonderful journey spanning 43 years together and with all your best wishes, this journey will continue to be a Have a nice tandem trip. A few photos over the years.”

The couple’s fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section with messages of congratulations and blessings. Hema Malini and Dharmendra were married on May 2, 1980 and have two daughters together – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. They worked together in several hit movies like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta and Naseeb among others.
Work-wise, Dharmendra will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan. It will hit theaters in July this year. It will also mark the return of Karan Johar as director after a hiatus. Apart from that, it also has Bloody Daddy by Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
Recently, Hema Malini made headlines after she mentioned that even after so many years, author roles are written for male actors and not for females. “Where are the opportunities today? Even today, author-supported roles are not found for actresses; they are reserved for male actors. Mr Amitabh Bachchan gets such great roles even now they are written especially for him. But such special roles weren’t written for actresses until today,” she told Mid-Day. On the work side, she was last seen in Shimla Mirchi with Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh.
