The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was another low-scoring affair that had an exciting ending. The Delhi (DC) Capitals were massively troubled by Gujarat bowlers, being down to 130 for 8 from 20 overs. Mohammad Shami was the bowlers’ choice, returning numbers of 4 for 11 in four overs. Additionally, Mohit Sharma scalped a couple, completing 50 IPL wickets.

But the same story happened with Gujarat batters when they faced Delhi attack. Khaleel made a stunning comeback, knocking out Wriddhiman Saha in the first round. Then Ishant Sharma stepped in and opened the floodgates to the opposition. GT skipper Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 59 but his efforts were in vain.

However, the match did not make a difference in the ranking of these two teams in the points table. The Delhi Capitals continue to be bottom with six points and a negative net run rate. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans retained their top spot with a 12-point chart and a net run rate of +0.532.
