
Manvita Kamath’s mother died on April 15.
Along with dropping a bunch of photos on Instagram, Manvita Kamath wrote a touching note, expressing her grief while wishing her mother finds peace in heaven.
Kannada actress Manvita Kamath has become one of the most sought after actresses in the film industry. She has acted in many notable movies including Tagaru, Kendasampige, Shiva 143, Kanaka and Tarakasura among others. On April 15, Manvita suffered an irreplaceable loss in his personal life. The actress lost her mother Sujatha Kamath, who was battling kidney disease for an extended period. Now, 13 days after her mother’s death, Manvita celebrated the last day of mourning on April 28, known as Terahvin. During the ritual, the actress remembered her mother by performing Asthi Visarjan, or the immersion of ashes in water.
Along with dropping a bunch of photos on Instagram, Manvita wrote a touching note, expressing her grief while wishing her mother finds peace in heaven. “I buried my mother in the ocean. Since then, the birds have cleaned and combed, while safely placing her favorite Mangalore jasmine in her hair every morning and the waves have pulled the blanket up to her chin , stars planted kisses on her forehead every night,” she wrote.
“I can’t finish this poem, amma…feels empty without you…I hope you find comfort and peace on the other side of the world,” the actress added in her post, before dropping a prayer emoji at the end.
Images and video embedded in the post capture Manvita strolling on a sea beach, against crashing waves. She gives a sad expression looking at the distant horizon. The actress can be seen accompanied by the priest who immersed the actress’ mother’s ashes in the waters as she watched with dark eyes.
The 10-slide post further offered glimpses of Manvita performing Terahvin rituals as instructed by the priest. She also prayed for her mother’s peace with folded hands. In the last two slides, the actress dropped a video with her mother as they smiled, eating in a restaurant. While in the last photo, Manvita was seen sleeping on her mother’s lap, holding her pet dog, inside a car.
As soon as the photos and videos found their way onto the internet, fans flocked to the comments section to convey their condolences. Many notable movie personalities also expressed their heartfelt consolations, urging Manvita to stay strong.
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Manvita revealed that when her mother was first diagnosed with kidney failure, she went through several challenges. “She has become forgetful and keeps repeating questions. We have to understand that as our parents get older they become children and we have to take care of them,” Manvita said at the time.
